We are seeking an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join our project delivery team and support the commercial management of a range of construction projects. Based on site and working under the guidance of the Senior Quantity Surveyor, the successful candidate will assist in the day-to-day commercial administration of projects, including managing subcontractor accounts, assessing and agreeing subcontractor valuations and variations, and monitoring project costs. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated Quantity Surveyor to further develop their commercial, contractual, and project management skills within a fast-paced construction environment while working closely with both site and client teams.

This role will be within the Building Services division and will be site based in the Dublin area.

Your Key Responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor

  • Review, assess, and negotiate variation submissions received from subcontractors, ensuring they are accurately valued and contractually compliant.
  • Assist in the preparation, pricing, and compilation of client variation submissions in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Undertake regular site inspections to verify progress and ensure that installed works align with recorded quantities and commercial assessments.
  • Support the preparation of monthly valuations, cost reports, and commercial forecasts for assigned projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of variations, subcontractor claims, site instructions, and other commercial documentation.
  • Liaise with site management teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to resolve commercial issues and ensure timely agreement of project accounts.
  • Work under the guidance of the Senior Quantity Surveyor to identify commercial risks and opportunities, while supporting the successful financial delivery of projects.
