Senior Education Manager (m/f/d).

SENIOR LEVEL

Company Description

About EIT RawMaterials

As the world moves towards a greener future, the demand for raw materials—minerals and metals—is set to increase immensely over the next three decades. Europe faces a critical challenge in securing a stable supply of these essential resources. This challenge is where EIT RawMaterials steps in.

EIT RawMaterials is at the forefront of driving innovation and sustainability in the raw materials sector. As an Innovation Community within the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), we collaborate with over 300 partners across industry, academia, and research institutes. Together, we forge dynamic, long-term partnerships to develop innovative solutions that meet Europe's growing demand for raw materials.

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Education Manager (m/f/d) to play a key role in translating our Education strategy into successful programme delivery for the European Raw Materials Academy and the European Advanced Materials Academy. You will provide oversight across our Academies, lead teams and complex workstreams, manage key stakeholders and governance processes, and ensure programmes deliver against their financial, contractual, and performance objectives.

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Leadership & Oversight: Support the Head of Academies in driving strategy and execution across both Academies, aligned with organizational and EU priorities.

Programme Coordination: Coordinate contractual and reporting obligations.

Team Management & Capacity Building: Lead team structure, capacity planning, and performance, ensuring clear accountability and effective delivery across work packages.

Stakeholder & Governance Management: Manage engagement with key governance stakeholders, including the Advisory Board, EIT, and internal Steering Committee.

Advisory Board Coordination: Coordinate Advisory Board meetings and ensure strategic recommendations are reflected in programme delivery.

Steering Committee Engagement: Support the Head of Academies in coordinating Steering Committee meetings, progress reporting, and decision-making.

Monitoring, Reporting & PRM: Oversee KPIs, forecasts, programme monitoring, and reporting, addressing performance gaps with relevant work packages

Financial Management & Budget Oversight: Oversee budgets, forecasting, cost eligibility, and financial performance in line with EU funding requirements.

Legal & Contractual Compliance: Ensure programme activities comply with contractual, legal, and grant requirements.

Project Management & Delivery Oversight: Oversee delivery across work packages, including learner acquisition, training distribution, and operational readiness.

Operational Systems & Tools: Ensure effective implementation and continuous improvement of programme management tools and processes.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate programme risks, coordinate corrective actions, and escalate significant issues when required.

Procurement Support: Support compliant and efficient procurement processes in collaboration with Operations, Compliance, and Accounting.

Internal Coordination: Ensure effective collaboration with Finance, Legal, Communications, and other internal functions.

Team Building & WP Cohesion: Strengthen collaboration and team cohesion across work packages and remote teams, including team meetings and off-sites.

Non-Academy Education Programmes: Support Business Plan and KAVA activities, ensuring Academy and non-Academy education projects contribute to overall organizational goals.

What We’re Looking For

  • A university degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in programme or project management, ideally within education, skills, innovation, or EU-funded programmes.

  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programmes and cross-functional teams.

  • Strong knowledge of programme planning, budgeting, KPI tracking, reporting, and risk management.

  • Experience with EU-funded projects, grant management, and compliance is highly desirable.

  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent communication skills and professional fluency in English.

  • Experience with European institutions, the EIT ecosystem, or education and training programmes is an advantage.
