Product Modification/Repair Technician Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Company is seeking an Product Modification/Repair Technician to join our Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) team in Heath, OH. Position Responsibilities: Assists with disassembly of systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes Assists with basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications Assists with and performs tasks associated with the safe handling of a simple aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations Works under supervision Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): This position requires an active U.S. Confidential Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) 1+ years of experience working with tools and following work instructions Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite applications Willingness to work with Beryllium and/or other chemical elements Preferred Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Experience in the inspection of parts, components, assemblies or units 1+ years experience soldering and assembly of equipment components 1+ more years experience using handheld tools and/or power tools Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings and specifications 1+ more years working under a microscope Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
