About the role:
You'll take ownership of day-to-day payment operations, working closely with banking partners, payment providers and internal teams to ensure payments are processed efficiently, reliably and securely. You'll play a key role in improving our payment infrastructure, solving complex operational challenges and supporting our international growth.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Own and manage daily payment operations across multiple currencies, payment methods and banking partners.
- Monitor payment flows, investigate failed or delayed transactions and resolve operational issues.
- Manage relationships with banks, payment service providers and payment processors, ensuring strong operational performance.
- Drive improvements in payment success rates, processing times, transaction costs and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to launch new payment methods, integrations and payment corridors.
- Identify opportunities to automate processes, improve payment routing and reduce operational risks.
- Work closely with Treasury, Reconciliation, Risk and Compliance to resolve payment and settlement issues.
- Monitor payment KPIs, manage incidents and continuously improve operational processes and controls.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in payments operations, banking or payment processing, ideally within fintech or a payment service provider.
- Strong understanding of payment systems, including SWIFT, SEPA, ACH and international payment rails.
- Experience working with banking partners, payment processors and payment service providers.
- Solid knowledge of payment lifecycles, clearing, settlement, reconciliation and payment investigations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
- A hands-on, proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have Qualifications:
- Experience with cross-border payments, multicurrency accounts and payment orchestration.
- Knowledge of API-based payment integrations, payment routing and automation.
- Familiarity with crypto payments, stablecoins or fiat-to-crypto settlement.
- Experience with SQL, payment analytics or reporting tools.
