Job Summary Summary: To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Equipment Maintenance Engineer located in Guadalajara North. Reporting to the Sr. Equipment Maintenance Engineer the Equipment Maintenance Engineer’s role involves: Mechanical:  Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as conveyor systems and production machines and equipm. What a typical day looks like: Through troubleshooting, identifies machine malfunctions and isolates the failure mechanism. Repairs the failure mechanism in the most cost-effective manner. Performs preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules. Performs calibrations and re-qualifications on equipment at specified intervals and schedules. Assists process technicians and engineers with the installation and removal of process equipment. Researches and implements corrective action reports and process tracking mechanisms. Records times and problems in equipment logs. Provides daily equipment functioning activity information. Sets up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate and calibrate other instruments and test equipment. Disassembles instruments and equipment and inspects components for defects. Aligns repairs, replaces, and balances component parts and circuitry. The experience we’re looking to add to our team: Typically requires an associate degree in related field, military technical training or equivalent education and training. Allocating work to a team of fitters. Checking and calibrating instruments to make sure they are accurate. Fitting new parts. Experience with SMT equipment such as ASMPT/P&P, Reflow Ovens, Screen Printers, AOI, SPI, Glue Dispensers, and Press-Fit systems. Hands-on experience performing preventive maintenance on electronic manufacturing equipment. Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and support continuous improvement initiatives. Knowledge of SMT processes and electronics manufacturing environments. Carrying out quality inspections. Acknowledging immediately to equipment breakdowns. Fixing faults on site or arranging for replacement machinery or equipment to be installed. Keeping production managers informed of progress. Organizing teams or unipersonal to make sure that 24-hour cover is available. Working on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or computerized systems.
