2027 Strategic Finance Analytics Graduate Programme.

FULL TIMEJUNIOR LEVELFINANCE & LEGAL

Company Description

We’re Checkout.com. You might not know our name, but companies like eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony do, because we’re behind many of the digital experiences you use every day.

We are where the world checks out, enabling over 10 billion transactions yearly for more than one billion global shoppers.

Whether you want to book a holiday, order food, renew a subscription, or check out online, there’s a good chance our tech powers the payments behind the scenes. Our platform helps the most ambitious businesses deliver effortless digital experiences, at scale.

If you want to do career-defining work, you’ve come to the right place. We move fast, think globally, and believe great teams are built by hiring exceptional people with conviction, curiosity, and the desire to make an impact.

With 20 offices across six continents and London as our HQ, we’re shaping the future of fintech – and we’re just getting started.

The role

As part of Checkout.com’s #NextGen Strategic Finance Analytics Graduate Program you’ll work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience and a comprehensive introduction to digital payments and technology. The program offers an extensive learning experience through technical training, professional development workshops, and direct access to industry experts. You'll be part of a global Early Careers, Graduate community, with regular networking events, mentoring opportunities, and social activities designed to build connections and accelerate your growth and leadership potential. By the end of the scheme, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge, experience, and confidence to make a lasting impact at Checkout.com and beyond.

How you’ll make an impact

During the programme, you may:

  • Analyse commercial and business performance in order to help the business assess where it is creating value.

  • Leverage AI tooling as a force multiplier to build and automate reusable analytical workflows and agents to create insights from financial data.

  • Collaborate directly with Data Engineering and Data Science to support the development and enhancement of our core financial data models, and the context layer that enables AI agents to leverage that data.

  • Craft executive-style deliverables, which may include decks, models, written documents or AI-powered apps.

  • Work with your manager to translate ambiguous requests from leadership, Finance and cross-functional stakeholders into clear, decision-ready insights.

  • Drive continuous reporting improvements, standardisation, and simplification whilst documenting definitions and limitations - leaving no room for approximation.

  • You will work with Finance and Data partners to scope requirements and support the delivery of key initiatives.

What we’re looking for

You’re a curious, analytical and innovative individual, either due to graduate in summer 2027 or having graduated within the last 12 months, who is excited to dive into the world of Finance.

You’ll bring:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative or business discipline.

  • Strong analytical mindset - You’re comfortable working with numbers, identifying the underlying patterns and drawing sound conclusions.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - You have the ability to adjust your style to suit different perspectives and seniority levels.

  • Commercial curiosity - You want to dive into the details to understand how merchant, product, and commercial dynamics affect financial performance.

  • Confidence with data tools - You have a clear aptitude and willingness to learn data tooling. Python and SQL experience is a plus.

  • Exceptional attention to detail - You rigorously validate data, pressure-test assumptions, and transparently communicate analytical limitations.

  • Payments or financial knowledge is a bonus, but not required.

Early Careers experience

You’ll receive:

  • Dedicated onboarding and payments-focused training.

  • Professional skills workshops and leadership sessions.

  • Mentoring from experienced colleagues.

  • Networking and community events.

  • Opportunities to work on meaningful, business-critical projects.

  • Regular feedback and transparent performance conversations.

  • Potential progression into a permanent role, subject to performance, readiness, headcount availability and business requirements.

Eligibility

  • Graduated within the last 12 months or due to graduate by the programme start date, depending on the selected pathway.

  • Available to work full-time for the duration of the programme.

  • Able to work from the stated programme location and meet applicable right-to-work requirements.
