Job Description: Job Summary UPS is seeking ambitious, customer-focused, and high-potential individuals to join the Emerging Sales Professional Program, a six-month immersive development experience designed to accelerate the next generation of sales and customer success leaders. More than a traditional onboarding experience, this structured program combines formal learning, mentorship, and hands-on business application to prepare participants for future frontline leadership opportunities within UPS. Participants will build expertise in customer success, business development, account management, sales strategy, and leadership skills while gaining practical experience working with customers and sales teams. Participants will learn alongside a cohort of peers, creating opportunities for networking, collaboration, and professional growth. Throughout the program, they will receive guidance from experienced leaders while developing critical capabilities such as business acumen, executive presence, customer engagement, and professional communication. Upon successful completion, participants will be eligible to be placed into a Customer Success or Business Development position based on performance, business needs, and career interests. Program Experience During the six-month immersive experience, participants will: • Progress through a structured development journey that combines foundational sales training with applied field experience. • Learn alongside a cohort of emerging professionals, building meaningful peer connections and professional networks. • Receive mentorship and coaching from experienced leaders and subject matter experts. • Develop executive presence, business acumen, communication, and customer engagement skills. • Complete field immersion experiences to gain insight into customer needs, business challenges, and UPS solutions. • Participate in a capstone project and readiness assessment that demonstrates leadership potential and career readiness. Key Responsibilities • Participate in a structured sales and leadership development program. • Learn and apply knowledge of UPS products, services, customer solutions, and industry best practices. • Participate in customer meetings, business reviews, and account planning discussions. • Build and strengthen customer relationships through proactive engagement and support. • Practice prospecting, discovery, and customer needs analysis skills. • Develop account strategies that support customer growth, retention, and long-term success. • Analyze customer challenges and recommend value-added solutions. • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Operations teams to achieve growth objectives. • Support customer retention, customer experience, and service recovery initiatives. • Present recommendations, insights, and solutions to customers and internal stakeholders. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience. • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. • Demonstrated interest in sales, customer success, business development, or leadership careers. • Ability to build relationships, influence others, and collaborate effectively. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. • Learning agility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. • Demonstrated professionalism and commitment to personal and professional development. • Willingness to travel and relocate based on business needs and placement opportunities following program completion. Preferred • Previous internship, sales, customer service, account management, or business development experience. • Demonstrated leadership through academic, professional, volunteer, military, or extracurricular activities. • Experience working in team-based environments and collaborating to achieve common goals.
