Want to join the leader in AI-powered data security? Interested in cybersecurity, compliance, and business strategy? The Governance & Risk team helps Cohesity stay secure, resilient, and compliant in an ever-evolving technology landscape. From assessing risks and supporting audits to collaborating with teams across the business, they play a key role in protecting both the company and its customers while gaining exposure to a wide range of business functions. Through risk management, compliance initiatives, and security governance, they enable the company to grow with confidence while maintaining the highest standards of trust and accountability. Join Cohesity's Governance and Risk team on a high-impact initiative at the intersection of security, governance, and AI. You'll work alongside our Security Governance, Cyber Risk, IT, Security Architecture/Operations, and Compliance teams to help strengthen how we assess the security of our technology environment — gaining hands-on experience with the frameworks and practices that underpin a modern security program. HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE : Help assess technology and applications against leading security standards — SOC 2, ISO 27001, and the emerging ISO 42001 for AI management systems. Support the development of control inventories and assessments, translating security requirements into practical, measurable indicators teams can act on. Contribute to documenting security practices such as secure development, vulnerability management, and resilience, turning expert knowledge into repeatable standards. Assist in preparing clear, executive-ready summaries and reporting that make complex security topics accessible to leaders and stakeholders. Partner with Security Operations, Identity & Access Management, and Enterprise Technology teams to understand how monitoring, incident response, and access controls come together in practice. Research industry best practices in application security, cloud security, and AI governance, and bring fresh thinking to how a modern security program should operate. WE'D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING : A genuine curiosity about cybersecurity, risk, and how organizations protect their data and systems, studies in a relevant field. An interest in governance, compliance, or audit — and how frameworks like ISO and SOC 2 translate into real-world practice. Enthusiasm for emerging technology, especially AI and cloud, and the new security challenges and opportunities they raise. A knack for clear writing and communication — turning technical detail into something any audience can understand. An analytical, organized mindset that enjoys structuring information, spotting gaps, and connecting the dots. A collaborative, proactive attitude and eagerness to learn from experts across security, engineering, and business teams. #LI-MS2 Data Privacy Notice for Job Candidates: For information on personal data processing, please see our Privacy Policy.
