Accountabilities:
- Assists with the care of patients under the direction of the resource nurse
- Maintains, monitors and distributes departmental equipment
- Transports patients, specimens and supplies as required
- The role works on a rotating shift schedule
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Graduate of a personal support worker/health care aide program from an accredited institution (or an equivalent program would be considered)
- Current CPR certification required
- Minimum two years recent related patient care experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Requires the ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting on an ongoing basis
- Experience in emergency an asset
- Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration
- Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record
- May be required to work and travel between all Osler sites
Currently Days/Nights 8, 12 hour shifts including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
Salary:
Minimum: $31.39 per hour
Maximum: $31.96 per hour
