Job Overview: Primoris Services Corporation is a leading provider of critical infrastructure services to the utility, energy, and renewables markets throughout the United States and Canada. We are currently seeking a Lineman Training & Development Instructor for our electrical distribution division. In addition to instructing, this position will also serve as a quality assurance specialist to our overhead and underground installations. A strong background in electrical distribution is required, as well as the ability to lead others effectively and efficiently. This position will be based out of our Commerce City and Dove Valley offices in Colorado. Anticipated start date: November 2026 – please apply with your earliest available start date. Key Responsibilities: Teach, prepare and mentor Apprentices for careers as Journeyman Lineman Hands-on instruction in Overhead and Underground Distribution systems Develop and improve course materials, lesson plans and practical training Administer practical testing and examinations Responsible for performing field audit functions and on the job evaluations Assists in training functions as directed by Corporate. Investigates instances of non-conformance and facilitates the determination of the root cause. Provides input to management and assists in the evaluation and effectiveness of the quality assurance program on overhead and underground installations. Assist in developing performance objectives and standards. Additional duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Journeyman lineman certificate is highly preferred. Other combinations of education and industry experience will be considered Bachelor’s degree in business or related preferred or High School Diploma with five years previous utility construction experience required. Experience and knowledge in overhead and underground distribution construction and best work practices. Basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) for input and output of data. Knowledge of computers and Windows based software, or the ability and willingness to learn Ability to identify and suggestion resolution of problems in a timely manner Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Effective communication skills, both oral and written Maintain confidentiality at all times. Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks. Treat people with respect and uphold the organizational values. Follow policies and procedures and complete tasks correctly and timely. Prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently. Ability to consistently meet or exceed deadlines. Ability to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events. Solid communication skills and reasoning ability. Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees, supervisors/foremen, vendors, suppliers and customers. An understanding of utility distribution. The ability to provide timely, accurate and professional documentation. Effectively provide guidance, maturity and foster positive attitudes about the job and the company. Attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to all types of people. A demonstrated willingness to work hard and at times physically demanding work in the elements. Some of the physical demands are: Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a daily and continual basis. Ability to drive on a stop and start basis daily and continually. Lifting, placing of materials, standing, walking – particularly on uneven surfaces, turning, stooping, kneeling, crawling, reaching, crouching, speaking and hearing are required continuously. Close vision is required for some functions and distance, and peripheral vision is required for safety. Q3 Contracting is a drug-free environment, and all candidates are subject to drug testing.
