This position is responsible for creating, directing, and maintaining a high value, on premise, guest experience, through the leadership and management of the Front of House (FOH), Back of House (BOH) & Event Programming Teams.  This is a full-time position at our Downtown Kalamazoo Hospitality campus. Essential Duties: Oversee and direct day to day operations onsite (averaging 40-45 hours/week) Facilitation of strategic priorities, departmental goals, initiatives, and performance work objectives management, while seeking process improvements. Ensure the efficient and profitable business performance of the restaurant and the optimal utilization of staff and resources. Oversee staff scheduling. Oversee and report on budgeting and department finances, managing profitability & allocating resources. Oversee inventory management. Manage staff hiring and performance; provide training/mentoring and facilitate professional development Attract patrons by developing and implementing marketing, advertising, public and community relations programs; evaluating program results; identifying and tracking changing demands. Integration of Sales and Branding campaigns into the site aesthetic and experience Maintain high standards of food, service, health, and safety. Uphold legal requirements. Upkeep and attention to care of equipment and arrangements for repairs, contracts, and other services Active member of the FOH, BOH & Event Programming Teams as needed Other duties as assigned Education/ Experience/Skills: 3+ of team management and customer service experience. Exceptional customer service skills and abilities. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all managers, coworkers, guests, and business partners at all business volume levels. High level interpersonal and mediation skills. Ability to deal with difficult situations and resolve matters appropriately and effectively Working knowledge of financial statements Knowledge of brewing processes and Food & Beverage industry In depth understanding of marketing/branding best practices and procedures Advanced verbal & written and public speaking skills  Windows OS and Microsoft Office experience desirable Percent of Travel: 0-10% Working Conditions: Office; Restaurant environment; Position requires working nights & weekends Physical Requirements: The position requires frequent, constant standing and walking.    Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours). Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds. Must be able to move and process information quickly. Continuously bend, reach, twist and use your hands and arms.
