Submits offer price and volume to WESM; Monitors WESM outcomes Declares bilateral contract volumes of FGen to WESM to ensure maximum revenues and minimal costs; Analyzes the power grid situation critical in ensuring that FGen bid submissions are sound, with the end goal of maximizing revenues; Analyzes the existing plants operating in the system to determine the adequacy of supply in the system and to monitor competing generation facilities; Analyzes the behavior of loads to determine First Gen Corporation's supply strategy; Perform Day-Ahead Forecasts and ensure optimal dispatch of the trading portfolio Compile power industry databases from various sources. Prepares regular reports on the industry development, particularly on the WESM. Minimum Qualifications The power trading analyst is responsible for specific analysis concerning prices (e.g., competition, relative positioning, profitability) for an offer, a customer segment, and/or an area. Analyzes special price requests as necessary. Bachelor of Science degree in any of the following courses: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial (Management) Engineering, Economics.
