Key purpose: To work with the Apprenticeship Manager to deliver a high-quality wood occupation apprenticeship programme including classroom and workshop theory and practical teaching. Manage, review, assess and train a caseload of apprentices who are based in the workplace and are currently undertaking Apprenticeships. To ensure that the success rates of apprentices are at or above the level set by the College.

- To provide induction, assessment, training, coaching, teaching and assessment to apprentices who are undertaking Apprenticeship Programmes and supporting qualification(s)
- Teach, asses, support, advise and assist apprentices during their training both at college and in the workplace.
- Deal with queries when supervising apprentices.
- Participate in the promotional and marketing aspects of the college.
- Undertake initial assessment of apprentices and assist in the apprentice actions planning

- Level 2 (e.g. GCSE) English and Maths at Grade C or above
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, in a carpentry/joinery discipline.
- Assessor to demonstrate a commitment to complete the TAQA Assessor Award within a 12-month period.
- L5 teaching qualification or equivalent(or willingness to work towards) Full UK Driving Licence and use of own vehicle.
