Job Profile Summary ING Wholesale Banking APAC Finance is looking for a motivated Finance Data & Analytics Intern to join our Singapore-based team. This internship sits at the intersection of finance and data, giving you hands-on exposure to how a leading international bank uses Python, data visualisation tools, and analytics to drive decision-making across 10+ APAC markets. You do not need a finance background - we are looking for curious, technically inclined students who are comfortable with data and eager to learn in a fast-paced, multi-market environment.     What will you be doing?    Data & Analytics Support Assist in building and maintaining dashboards in Power BI or Tableau for financial KPI reporting Support data extraction, cleaning, and transformation using Python (pandas, openpyxl, etc.) Help automate routine reporting tasks currently done manually in Excel Run data quality checks and assist in reconciling figures across reporting systems Python & Automation Write and test Python scripts to process and load data from Excel/CSV sources into databases (e.g., SQLite) Assist in scheduling and maintaining existing automation pipelines Document code and workflows for team knowledge transfer Finance Analytics & Reporting Build and maintain automated data pipelines and reporting templates to extract, transform, and distribute MIS data across APAC markets Design and deploy self-service dashboards (Power BI / Tableau) surfacing income, expense, RWA, and client metrics for senior stakeholders Develop scripts and workflows to automate recurring report generation, reducing manual intervention in month-end and quarter-end cycles AI & Digital Initiatives Participate in ING's AI and digitalization projects under the guidance of the APAC Finance AI SPOC Assist in testing and documenting AI-enabled tools and prototypes Contribute ideas on how data workflows can be further automated or improved   What qualities and skills are we looking for?  Must Have Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field Proficiency in Python - comfortable writing scripts, using libraries like pandas and numpy, and debugging code Familiarity with Excel - pivot tables, formulas, and basic data manipulation Analytical mindset with attention to detail Good communication skills - able to explain data findings clearly Good to Have Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or any other data visualisation tool Basic knowledge of SQL or databases (e.g., SQLite, MySQL) Understanding of financial concepts (income statements, KPIs, balance sheet basics) Experience with version control (Git/GitHub) Interest in AI/ML applications in a business context What would you gain from this internship?    Real-world exposure to finance analytics in a top-tier international bank Hands-on experience with Python automation, Power BI/Tableau dashboards, and SQLite pipelines Mentorship from a team blending finance expertise with advanced data and AI skills Exposure to APAC multi-market financial reporting across 10+ countries A portfolio-worthy project that you can present at the end of your internship Need more information?     For information on ING Wholesale Bank, visit https://www.ingwb.com/  For information on careers, visit https://www.ing.jobs/Global/Careers.htm    Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB)   ING’s vision is to unlock our people’s full potential through our inclusive culture where everyone has the opportunity to develop and have impact for our customers and society.
