What you’ll be doing Delivering dynamic and engaging IGCSE, Functional Skills and Education for Promotion English tuition (or equivalents in devolved regions) – this will be classroom and remote teaching Coordinating and providing administrative support to examinations. Providing support, including as a personal tutor, as required to individuals with their English learning Liaising with personnel referring individuals for neurodiversity and SpLD assessment and support Conducting screening to identify typical neurodiversity/SpLD traits (Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and Dyspraxia) and recommending any further action based on the results (including referrals to suitably qualified professionals and support organisations) Processing and authorising neurodiversity/SpLD concessions for internal examinations What we’re looking for: Essential: Min of level 3 or equivalent in Teaching Experience of Teaching English language Minimum of level 3 in English (minimum of GCSE in English) Experience of working with neurodiverse pupils Desirable: Any experience of teaching functional skills would be desirable (Maths/English/IT) Any experience of teaching adults/further education would be highly desirable Ideally hold SpLD level 5 but this can be done as part of the role About Selborne Selborne is a bold, £1 billion, 12-year transformation of Royal Navy training, led by Capita and a powerhouse consortium known as Team Fisher — including Raytheon UK, Fujitsu, and the University of Lincoln.
