Germany

Amazon Catalog Specialist.

FULL TIMEREMOTESALES & MARKETING

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Amazon Catalog Specialist based in Germany.

The Amazon Catalog Specialist will manage and optimize product listings across Amazon Seller Central and Vendor Central, helping e-commerce businesses improve catalog accuracy, product visibility, and conversion performance. In this remote independent contractor role, you will troubleshoot listing issues, maintain product variations, and ensure catalog content complies with Amazon's guidelines. You will use bulk upload tools, research platforms, and performance analytics to manage catalogs efficiently, including large inventories containing thousands of products. Working independently, you will conduct content audits, execute A/B tests, monitor organic rankings, and identify opportunities to improve product performance. You will also collaborate with client teams and Amazon Support to resolve complex catalog challenges and maintain consistent product information. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented e-commerce professional who enjoys problem-solving, data-driven optimization, and supporting multiple business needs in a flexible, international working environment.

Accountabilities

    • Manage Amazon product catalogs: Create, update, and maintain product listings across Amazon Seller Central and Vendor Central, ensuring accurate product information, consistent content, and compliance with platform requirements.

    • Troubleshoot catalog issues: Identify and resolve suppressed listings, detail page errors, stranded inventory, listing conflicts, and parent-child variation inconsistencies to maintain catalog health.

    • Optimize listing content: Improve product titles, bullet points, descriptions, images, and other listing elements to strengthen search visibility, enhance the customer experience, and increase conversion potential.

    • Manage product variations: Build, maintain, and audit parent-child relationships across catalogs, proactively identifying structural inconsistencies and correcting issues before they affect product discoverability or customer experience.

    • Execute bulk catalog updates: Prepare, validate, and upload Amazon flat files and bulk templates to implement large-scale catalog changes efficiently while maintaining data accuracy.

    • Coordinate with Amazon Support: Open, track, and manage support cases and work with Brand Registry to resolve listing conflicts, correct catalog information, and enforce brand content requirements.

    • Conduct catalog audits: Regularly review product detail pages to identify content gaps, compliance risks, optimization opportunities, and inconsistencies across product listings.

    • Improve listing performance: Plan and execute A/B tests on product content, analyze results, and implement data-driven changes to improve listing effectiveness.

    • Conduct product and market research: Use Amazon Product Opportunity Explorer to assess keywords, niches, competitor activity, product features, customer reviews, and return-related insights to inform catalog optimization.

    • Monitor organic ranking performance: Use Smart Scout and other approved research tools to evaluate keyword rankings and measure the impact of listing changes.

    • Support promotional campaigns: Execute Amazon promotional campaigns and monitor their effects on product visibility and performance.

    • Maintain reporting and documentation: Update sales trackers, catalog health reports, internal spreadsheets, and client-facing records to communicate progress, optimization results, and outstanding issues.

    • Manage multiple catalogs independently: Handle catalogs of varying sizes, including those containing hundreds or thousands of SKUs, prioritize tasks effectively, and complete assignments accurately within agreed deadlines.

    • Communicate and escalate effectively: Document issues and solutions clearly, provide timely updates, and seek clarification or escalate complex problems when necessary.

    • Meet agreed service deliverables: Perform all assigned services professionally and in accordance with the written scope of work, agreed timelines, and applicable client requirements.

    • Requirements:

      • Amazon platform experience: At least one year of hands-on experience with Amazon Vendor Central and at least one year with Amazon Seller Central.

      • Catalog management expertise: Proven experience troubleshooting Amazon listing issues, managing product detail pages, resolving suppressed listings, and maintaining accurate catalog structures.

      • Bulk upload proficiency: Practical experience preparing and uploading Amazon flat files, using bulk templates, and implementing large-scale catalog updates with a high degree of accuracy.

      • Variation management: Strong understanding of parent-child relationships, variation themes, catalog structures, and common variation-related issues.

      • Amazon support and compliance: Experience managing Amazon Support cases and working with Brand Registry, alongside a solid understanding of Amazon listing guidelines, content policies, and compliance requirements.

      • Listing optimization and testing: Experience optimizing product content and conducting A/B tests, with the ability to interpret results and translate findings into actionable improvements.

      • Research and analytics: Familiarity with Amazon Product Opportunity Explorer and the ability to analyze organic ranking performance, competitor activity, product features, customer reviews, and return-related insights.

      • Reporting and productivity tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, along with Google Workspace tools such as Gmail, Tasks, Keep Notes, and other relevant productivity applications.

      • Promotional campaign experience: Familiarity with Amazon promotional campaigns and the ability to assess their impact on product performance.

      • Attention to detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate product data across multiple listings, catalogs, and competing priorities.

      • Independent execution: Ability to work from task lists, manage assignments without continuous supervision, meet deadlines, and recognize when additional guidance is required.

      • Communication skills: Clear written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to document catalog issues, explain solutions, and provide timely progress updates.

      • Preferred experience: Background in catalog audits, SEO-driven listing optimization, agency or multi-brand environments, and managing multiple client catalogs.

      • Additional preferred tools: Experience with Smart Scout for product and organic ranking analysis, Keepa for product and Buy Box monitoring, and research tools that support large-scale Amazon catalog optimization.

      • Professional approach: A proactive, analytical, and solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to adapt to different client requirements and product volumes.

        • One contractor will be assigned to the engagement.

        • English is the required working language. A neutral accent is preferred, but no gender preference applies.

        • The assigned contact person and reporting arrangements will be confirmed during the engagement process.

          • Competitive rates: Compensation based on the terms of the independent contractor engagement.

          • Weekly payments: Regular weekly payment processing through the contracting platform, according to the agreed terms.

          • Flexible remote work: Work remotely while supporting international e-commerce clients.

          • Part-time commitment: A defined 20-hour weekly schedule that may offer flexibility alongside other professional commitments.

          • Training and upskilling: Access to free training opportunities designed to develop professional capabilities and expand e-commerce expertise.

          • Ongoing support: Guidance and assistance throughout the engagement to help contractors complete assignments successfully.

          • Professional community: Access to a supportive community of virtual assistants and independent professionals.
