Quality & Training Supervisor.

FULL TIMEQA

As a Quality & Training Supervisor, you will oversee quality assurance activities, complaint resolution, incident investigations, and training initiatives across the Inland Empire. This role plays a key part in ensuring concerns are investigated and documented accurately, corrective actions are followed through, required visits and training are completed, and the team meets agency and contract requirements.

This is a hands-on leadership role that balances fieldwork, team supervision, training support, and administrative responsibilities. Priorities may shift based on operational needs, requiring strong judgment, organization, adaptability, and the ability to guide staff while ensuring quality standards and client safety remain a priority.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Quality Assurance & Field Visits: Oversee quality assurance visits and phone calls, conduct in-home assessments, support complex cases, and identify potential safety or service concerns.
  • Complaints, Incidents & Investigations: Guide the timely investigation, resolution, and documentation of client complaints, incidents, allegations, injuries, theft, property damage, SIRs, and other quality concerns.
  • Documentation, Reporting & Compliance: Monitor quality assurance activities, contract requirements, reports, and outstanding documentation to ensure accuracy, timely completion, and compliance with agency standards.
  • Team Supervision & Leadership: Supervise, coach, and support Quality & Training Coordinators and related staff by delegating assignments, managing workloads, monitoring progress, and ensuring follow-through.
  • Training & Development: Oversee training for new and existing care providers, monitor training compliance, support training initiatives, and step in to facilitate virtual or in-person training when coverage is needed.
  • Continuous Improvement & Community Partnerships: Identify opportunities to improve quality and training processes while building professional relationships with clients, caregivers, regional centers, licensing bodies, vendors, and community partners.

MUST HAVE:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Industry Experience: At least five years of experience working with the developmentally disabled (DD/IDD) population.
  • Caregiving or Training Experience: Experience in caregiving, caregiver training, or training in a related setting.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Spanish.
  • Communication & Documentation: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to accurately document complaints, incidents, investigations, and quality-related activities.
  • Leadership & Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, delegate responsibilities, and follow through on assignments.
  • Transportation & Fieldwork: Valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and the ability to travel to client homes, training locations, community sites, and other required locations.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to bend and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Microsoft 365 & Data Skills: Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint, with the ability to organize information, maintain trackers, and prepare accurate reports.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Health Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Supervisory Experience: Previous experience supervising, coaching, or leading a team.
  • Training Experience: At least two years of experience delivering or coordinating employee or caregiver training.
  • Healthcare Systems: Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and experience learning or navigating new software.

SKILLS CRITICAL FOR SUCCESS:

  • Communication & Collaboration: Builds strong relationships and communicates clearly with clients, caregivers, team members, vendors, regional centers, licensing bodies, and internal partners.
  • Leadership & Accountability: Provides direction, delegates responsibilities, monitors progress, and ensures team members follow through on assignments and expectations.
  • Attention to Detail & Organization: Maintains accurate documentation, tracks complaints and quality assurance activities, and manages multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Adaptability & Problem Solving: Uses sound judgment to address sensitive concerns, resolve issues, adjust to changing priorities, and determine when escalation is needed.
  • Person-Centered Approach: Balances compassion, client safety, service quality, and compliance while representing Cambrian professionally and building trust with internal and external partners.

WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS ROLE:

You’ll join a growing team where your work has clear visibility and impact as you help strengthen quality assurance and training services. This is an opportunity to lead meaningful improvements, support caregiver development, and help ensure individuals receiving services experience safe, reliable, and person-centered care.

You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of quality assurance and training initiatives, lead and develop a team, and collaborate with colleagues and community partners to strengthen the quality of care. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys taking initiative, building strong relationships, and making a meaningful impact through team development and continuous improvement.
