We are looking for a Field Service Engineer covering high tech production systems, lasers, motion stages and vacuum products of MKS Instruments. The primary focus of this position is the support of our vacuum products for scientific and industrial applications, mainly in Phoenix, Arizona. You Make an Impact By: System installation, diagnose and repair of reactive gas generators, optical gas analyzers and mass spectrometry equipment and troubleshooting of electromechanical subassemblies. Maintain operational functionality of scientific and industrial vacuum equipment. Instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of the systems. Serves as company interface with customer and factory on administrative and technical matters. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments. Other duties may be assigned and could include shift, weekend and on-call coverage. USA and International travel is a requirement for customer support and for training on our products. Skills You Bring: Associate’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree and/or applicable Certification is preferred. 5+ years of related practical experience Exceptional troubleshooting skills with new electrical, mechanical and vacuum systems Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to assume new tasks and responsibilities, self-manage, and schedule working time with minimal supervision High degree of proficiency of PC skills including MS office, SAP, and data analysis applications Ability to travel up to between 20-30% of the time. This typically involves travel to a customer site during a normal business week Special Skills and Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent communication and computer skills (MSOffice). Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination Compensation and Benefits: Salary Pay Range: $80,000 - 100,000 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
