Emergency Room Enhancement Supervisor (ERE).

FULL TIME
Help build a stronger bridge between emergency care and lasting community wellness.

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8a-5p

The Emergency Room Enhancement (ERE) Supervisor leads and supports a team of Community Support Specialists (CSS) who help individuals transition from hospital-based emergency care to ongoing community support. This role provides staff supervision, clinical direction, and coordination with hospitals and internal and external providers to promote timely follow-up, continuity of care, and positive outcomes. The ERE Supervisor also guides team performance, supports employee development, and strengthens partnerships that expand access to behavioral health services across the communities we serve.

This is a great opportunity for someone who:
enjoys developing a strong, compassionate team; values collaboration across healthcare settings; and is motivated to improve access to care and support meaningful connections between emergency services and community-based resources.

  • Supervise, coach, and develop ERE team members through individual supervision, consultation, and ongoing skill-building.
  • Provide clinical direction, review referrals, and support consistent service delivery and documentation.
  • Coordinate with hospitals and internal and external providers to strengthen partnerships and continuity of care.
  • Support timely outreach following hospital discharge, including outreach within 24 hours.
  • Conduct assessments and help coordinate services across organizational programs to support individuals’ ongoing needs.
  • Oversee day-to-day team operations, staff performance, employee development, scheduling, and timekeeping.
  • Monitor team productivity and outcomes, address performance gaps, and support progress toward organizational goals.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, team meetings, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Respond to medical or behavioral emergencies within the scope of current certifications and organizational protocols.
  • Perform other duties consistent with the scope and level of the position.

  • High School/GED required.
  • Associate’s/Bachelor’s/Master's degree in a human service-related field preferred.
  • Must meet the applicable education and experience requirements for the position based on overall Community Support Specialist (CSS) qualifications, including at least one of the following:
    • Qualified addiction professional.
    • Bachelor’s degree in a human services field.
    • Any four-year degree or combination of higher education and qualifying experience.
    • Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support degree as designated by the Department of Mental Health.
    • Four years of qualifying experience.
  • All higher education degrees must be from a college or university included in the U.S. Department of Education’s database of accredited schools.
  • Qualifying experience must include delivery of service to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, or developmental disabilities.
  • A valid, unrestricted driver’s license and agency-established minimum automobile coverage are required.

Additional Education and Clinical Requirements
  • For positions requiring a master’s degree, a master’s degree in a human services field is required.
  • If the master’s degree is not in a human services field, a qualifying bachelor’s degree or qualifying work experience, as outlined in the applicable CSS requirements, must be met.
  • Must possess and maintain a current, active clinical license in the state of Missouri (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT, as applicable) in good standing when required for the position.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you:
  • Bring a supportive, strengths-based approach to staff supervision, coaching, and professional development.
  • Build collaborative relationships with hospital partners, healthcare professionals, and community providers.
  • Value coordinated, person-centered care and understand the importance of timely follow-up after an emergency department visit.
  • Are comfortable balancing clinical guidance, team leadership, operational responsibilities, and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate clearly, navigate challenges thoughtfully, and help teams stay focused on shared goals.
  • Are passionate about expanding access to behavioral health services and helping individuals build on their strengths, connect with resources, and move toward wellness.
