About the role

As a Telephony Engineer, you'll build and run the carrier-grade stack behind Callab AI. You'll connect our agents to the phone systems enterprises already use, so customers can adopt AI without moving to the cloud first.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain SIP trunking and call routing

• Integrate with Cisco, Avaya, Mitel, and on-premises PBX systems

• Monitor call quality and fix issues fast

• Support customer deployments with the team

Requirements

• 3+ years working with SIP and VoIP systems

• Hands-on experience with Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, or similar

• Good understanding of call quality, codecs, and carriers

• Clear communication with customer IT teams

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise contact center platforms

• Familiarity with WebRTC
