At Grand Hotel Timeo, a Belmond Hotel, we are looking for an empathetic, proactive, and safety-conscious Pool Attendant. In this role, you will dedicate yourself to ensuring a safe, relaxing, and luxurious environment for our guests, combining professional pool surveillance with flawless hospitality and personalized poolside service.
Primary Responsibilities Include
- Safety & Surveillance: Act as the primary lifeguard, conducting continuous surveillance of the pool area to guarantee maximum safety for all guests, strictly enforcing safety guidelines and maintaining the required certifications.
- Bespoke Poolside Comfort: Welcome guests warmly to the pool area, anticipating their needs by arranging sun loungers, distributing towels, and introducing available amenities.
- F&B Integration: Assist the Pool Bar team by presenting menus, taking orders for light refreshments, and delivering drinks and snacks directly to the sun loungers with flawless luxury service.
- Guest Preference Tracking: Review daily arrival lists to identify VIPs and repeat guests, preparing their preferred poolside spots and personalizing their day with bespoke amenities or celebratory touches.
- Ambience & Order: Maintain the absolute pristine condition, hygiene, and aesthetic standards of the entire pool deck, ensuring the space consistently reflects the Belmond luxury experience.
Requirements
What You Bring
- Certifications: Mandatory and valid Lifeguard License/Certification (Brevetto di Assistente Bagnanti / Bagnino di Salvataggio).
- Experience: Experience in luxury hospitality, upscale beach clubs, or premium wellness facilities is highly preferred.
- Hospitality Mindset: Natural empathy, warmth, and outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to balance safety duties with guest-facing hospitality.
- Versatility: Agility in multi-tasking, combining pool safety vigilance with proactive service and creative surprise-and-delight initiatives.
- Languages: Fluency in Italian and English; additional languages are a plus.
