At Grand Hotel Timeo, a Belmond Hotel, we are looking for an empathetic, proactive, and welcoming Front Desk Agent. In this role, you will dedicate yourself to orchestrating seamless arrivals and departures, acting as the vibrant face of our property and anticipating our guests' every need from the very first moment of their journey.
Primary Responsibilities Include
- Arrival & Preference Review: Review daily arrival lists, guest histories, and room assignments to identify VIPs, repeat guests, special celebrations, and specific room or bedding preferences.
- Seamless Guest Journeys: Conduct flawless, warm check-in and check-out procedures, personally guiding guests through a tailored property introduction and ensuring their billing preferences are handled with absolute precision.
- Proactive Liaison: Act as a dedicated, reliable point of contact throughout the guests' stay, resolving financial inquiries, room movements, and feedback with speed, accuracy, and genuine empathy.
- Cross-Departmental Synergy: Partner closely with Housekeeping, Concierge, Guest Relations, and Porters to coordinate bespoke welcome touches, room readiness, and unique farewell gifts.
- Lobby & Desk Excellence: Maintain the pristine presentation and elegant atmosphere of the Front Desk and lobby areas, ensuring Belmond’s standards of luxury and aesthetics are consistently reflected.
Requirements
What You Bring
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the Front Office or Reception team within a 5-star luxury hospitality environment.
- Hospitality Mindset: Natural empathy, warmth, and outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and gracious under pressure.
- Problem-Solving & Agility: Strong problem-solving skills and a creative flair for turning guest feedback into surprise-and-delight moments.
- Technical Expertise: High proficiency with property management systems (such as Opera PMS) and luxury administrative and cashiering procedures.
- Languages: Fluency in Italian and English; knowledge of a third language is highly valued.
