Essential 30% Patrols assigned area diligently, giving particular attention to and often rechecking those locations where security problems have been most frequent. Essential Additional Job Description Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma. Certification by the Department of Public Safety, in accordance with Section 23-6-430 of the 1976 South Carolina Code of Laws. Some positons require a commercial driver's license. (Public Safety Officer) A high school diploma. Certification by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Training Council, in accordance with State Law (23-23-40) is required. Must pass a background check. Some positons require a commercial driver's license. (7353 Master Public Safety Officer) A high school diploma and six months experience in law enforcement. Certification by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Training Council, in accordance with State Law (23-23-40) is required. Must pass a background check. Physical Requirements: (Note: The following descriptions are applicable to this section: Continuous - 6-8 hours per shift; Frequent - 2-6 hours per shift; Infrequent - 0-2 hours per shift) Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
