  • Background must be from water, wastewater and/or biosolids/sludge treatment design.
  • Proven ability to act as process discipline lead or senior technical lead on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Strong technical expertise in water/wastewater treatment process design, including process selection, mass balance, process capacity, PFDs, P&IDs and design basis development.
  • Practical experience using process modelling/simulation packages such as BioWin, SUMO, Dynamizu or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of UK water industry standards, CDM 2015, process safety, safety-by-design, regulatory drivers and common delivery models.
  • Confident client-facing communicator with experience leading workshops, technical reviews and design discussions.
  • Experience mentoring or managing engineers and supporting technical capability development.

Desirable Skills / Knowledge

  • Deep experience in wastewater treatment, clean water treatment, sludge/bioresources, nutrient removal, water reuse/recycling, process optimisation, chemical dosing, energy recovery or low-carbon design.
  • Experience delivering AMP8, WINEP, SRO, D&B, framework, alliance or contractor-led projects.
  • Advanced capability in BioWin, SUMO, Dynamizu, process model calibration, scenario testing, dynamic simulation or operational optimisation.
  • Experience developing process design standards, calculation tools, modelling workflows, QA processes or reusable digital templates.
  • Experience contributing to recruitment, resource planning, bid writing, technical proposals, client presentations or new service development.
