JOB SUMMARY
The Order Processor I position is responsible for entering orders into one or more production systems and for meeting individual productivity and quality targets.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares orders for entry into one or more production systems. Identifies correct production system.
- Researches and assigns product codes bill codes special program codes start number special requirements etc.
- Enters orders into one or more production systems using Single Key and/or Double Key methods.
- Corrects and releases hold for edit orders. Meets productivity and quality targets.
- Trains other Order Processor employees; both new hires and existing employees.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
- Technical and computer knowledge
- Data entry experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Typing accuracy of 99%+
- Typing speed of 50+ WPM
- Ability to spot errors and discrepancies in orders to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Skills in managing time effectively to meet productivity targets while maintaining quality.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and customers.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues that arise during the order entry process.
- Capability to handle multiple orders and tasks simultaneously without compromising quality.
- Ability to adjust to new systems, processes, or changes in order requirements.
- A focus on meeting customer needs and resolving any order-related inquiries.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment to achieve common goals.
COMMUNICATION AND CONTACTS
The OA Processor interacts with other employees within the work unit.
DECISION MAKING
Ability to use OA tools to make fact-based decisions on order information received from customers.
