Love a fast-paced environment, great food, cold beer, and being part of a team that takes pride in creating memorable guest experiences? Join the Kona Brewing Hawaii Kai Pub as a Dishwasher. The compensation range for this job is $20-$21/hour.
This role is an essential part of our kitchen team. You’ll help keep the heart of the pub moving, ensuring dishes, glassware, cookware, and kitchen tools are clean, organized, and ready for service. More than that, this is a chance to learn how a busy brewery pub operates from the inside out.
What you’ll do
- Wash, sanitize, dry, and properly store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized dish area throughout every shift.
- Assist with kitchen cleaning, trash removal, recycling, and general back-of-house upkeep.
- Follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety standards.
- Support cooks and the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Pitch in wherever needed to keep operations running smoothly.
Why you’ll enjoy this role
At Kona Brewing, teamwork matters. You’ll work alongside passionate people in a lively pub environment, helping deliver the food, hospitality, and aloha our guests expect.
This is not just a dishwashing job; it can be a starting point for a career in hospitality. We believe in cross-training and giving team members opportunities to build new skills. As you grow, you may have opportunities to train in prep, line cooking, receiving, or other pub operations roles based on your interests, performance, and business needs.
What we’re looking for
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to jump in.
- Reliability and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate respectfully.
- Comfort standing for extended periods and lifting/moving kitchen supplies and equipment as needed.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience is helpful, but we’re happy to train the right person.
