EPIC Health Partners is seeking Certified Substance Abuse Counselors (CSAC/CSAC-A) to join our growing team as group facilitators within our ARTS program. This role provides structured group education, relapse-prevention support, and person-centered interventions for individuals participating in substance use treatment services. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate psychoeducational, skills-building, and therapeutic group sessions in accordance with ASAM and program requirements.
- Support individuals in identifying goals and applying recovery skills.
- Maintain group structure, safety, and engagement.
- Monitor participant engagement and communicate concerns requiring clinical or supervisory attention.
- Collaborate with clinical supervisors, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Complete accurate, timely documentation, including group notes and attendance, in compliance with DBHDS, DMAS, and EHP standards.
- Provide crisis support and service coordination as needed.
- Participate in meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Active registration with the Virginia Board of Counseling as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC)
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing substance use and/or mental health services in individual, family, or group settings.
- Knowledge of ASAM criteria, relapse‑prevention strategies, and evidence‑based addiction treatment approaches.
- Ability to facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups.
- Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Current certification in CPR and First Aid.
- Verification of Tuberculosis (TB) screening.
