We’re currently seeking experienced Hydrovac Swampers to join our roster.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Help with the initial setup of the hydrovac unit, ensuring it's positioned correctly and ready for operation
- Responsible for managing hoses, ensuring the safety of the work area, and assisting in the proper disposal of excavated materials.
- Help maintain equipment, performing routine checks and reporting any issues to the operator
- Assist the operator in the hydro excavation process, helping to position the equipment, guide the hoses, and manage the excavated material
- Cleaning up the job site after the excavation is complete, ensuring the area is tidy and safe
Qualifications:
- 2+ Years of Vac Truck Swamping Experience
- Standard First Aid & CPR – Level C
- H2S Alive
- Common Safety Orientation
- Confined Space Entry and Monitor
- Ground Disturbance
- TDG & WHMIS - required to complete in-house
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with reliable transportation an asset
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test
- Must be clean shaven to wear respiratory protection
Working Conditions:
- Travel is required and certain jobs may be eligible for Living Out Allowance
- Exposure to noise, dust, fumes and extreme weather conditions
- Physically demanding with heavy lifting required (up to 50 lbs)
- Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule (including night, weekends, holidays, and overtime)
