Serves as a clinical resource in all areas of patient care and contributes to the overall quality of patient care. Position Responsibilities: Performs patient assessments and develops individualized respiratory care plans. Administers treatments/medications as prescribed by the physician. Demonstrates competency in all aspects of invasive and non-invasive ventilator care. Demonstrates competency in all aspects of the Blood Gas Laboratory and/or Laboratory procedures regarding Blood Gases (location dependent) Provides patient and family education on medications, disease processes, treatments, and wellness strategies Setup, operates, and maintains medical gas delivery and airway humidification systems.
