Registered Nurse An Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN) is crucial in providing immediate and comprehensive care to patients experiencing acute medical conditions or emergencies. Supervision: Oversee the work of support staff such as Emergency Room Technicians (ERTs) and other healthcare personnel, ensuring a collaborative and efficient workflow. Patient Advocacy: Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining procedures and treatment plans to provide emotional support and education. Collaboration: Work closely with physicians and other healthcare staff to develop and implement patient care plans. Infection Control: Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment to prevent infection and promote patient safety. Position Requirements: Two years of emergency room experience. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current Licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners for their state. Current BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred Educational requirements appropriate for meeting the age-specific needs of patients presenting to the emergency center, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients, including emergency procedures required for stabilizing patients of all ages. Validate clinical skills outlined in the orientation checklist and maintain annual clinical competency. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
