The Prince of Wales, Australia

Hospitality All-rounder.

Be part of the next chapter of The Prince of Wales Join the team bringing new energy, elevated hospitality and a fresh perspective to one of Melbourne’s most iconic venues. The Prince Hotel is entering an exciting new era, and we’re building a passionate front-of-house team to bring the venue’s next chapter to life. With a reimagined rooftop, a considered wine bar, contemporary pub dining and the return of the iconic Band Room, The Prince is evolving into a precinct that brings together food, drinks, music and culture in the heart of St Kilda. We’re looking for enthusiastic hospitality professionals who take pride in great service, understand the importance of creating memorable guest experiences and want to be part of something from the ground up. From experienced service professionals to emerging hospitality talent and future leaders, there are opportunities to join a team shaping the future of The Prince. The Opportunity The Prince precinct will bring together distinct spaces, each with its own personality, service style and guest experience. From elevated dining and cocktail service to high-volume bars, live entertainment and large-scale events, we’re looking for people who thrive in dynamic environments and understand that great hospitality is about more than serving food and drinks - it’s about creating an atmosphere people want to return to. Opportunities are available across the precinct: The Terrace & Terrace Bar – deliver an elevated food and beverage experience, combining Mediterranean-inspired dining, a considered drinks offering and a vibrant rooftop atmosphere. From polished table service to elevated cocktails and lively afternoon sessions that build into energetic evenings, this is an opportunity for people who are passionate about premium service and beverage execution. The Wine Bar – create a welcoming, wine-led experience built around thoughtful service, product knowledge and a considered food offering. Ideal for people who appreciate the details that turn a casual drink into a memorable experience. Hosts – be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone from arrival through to departure. We’re looking for welcoming, organised and confident individuals who understand the importance of a seamless guest journey across dining, bars and events. Band Room & Cloakroom – help deliver exceptional live music and entertainment experiences, supporting guest arrivals, cloakroom operations and the energy of one of Melbourne’s most recognised live music spaces. The Public Bar – bring the spirit of the traditional St Kilda pub into a new era, delivering friendly, efficient service across a lively food and beverage offering. This is an environment for people who enjoy fast-paced, high-volume service and working as part of a close-knit team. Functions & Large-Scale Events – be part of delivering everything from corporate functions and private celebrations to large-scale events across the precinct. Opportunities will suit people who thrive on busy service periods, can adapt to changing demands and take pride in delivering seamless guest experiences at scale. Supervisory & Management Opportunities – lead by example, support team development and help drive service standards, operational efficiency and guest satisfaction across a dynamic, multi-outlet hospitality operation. With opportunities spanning elevated dining, cocktail service, high-volume bars, live entertainment and large-scale events, this is a chance to develop your skills, work across different areas of the venue and grow alongside an ambitious team. Who We're Looking For We’re seeking hospitality professionals who bring energy, initiative and a genuine passion for guest experience. You’ll bring: A passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences. Experience in food and beverage, table service, cocktail bars, entertainment, functions or high-volume venues. Strong communication skills and a confident, professional approach. A commitment to service standards, attention to detail and presentation. An understanding of elevated beverage service, with cocktail and wine knowledge highly regarded for relevant roles. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage high-volume service and remain composed under pressure. A collaborative, team-first attitude and willingness to learn. Flexibility to work across a seven-day roster, including evenings and weekends. Previous supervisory or management experience for senior opportunities. A current Victorian RSA for roles involving the service of alcohol. Valid Australian working rights. Previous hospitality experience is highly regarded, although the right attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn are equally important for entry-level opportunities. Whether your strengths lie in elevated table service, cocktail creation, hosting, high-volume beverage operations, live entertainment or large-scale events, we want to hear from people who share our ambition for what The Prince can become. What We Offer The opportunity to be part of a major venue transformation and exciting reopening. Exposure to a diverse precinct spanning elevated dining, cocktails, wine, pub culture, live music and large-scale events. Training, development and cross-skilling opportunities across multiple service styles. The chance to work alongside an experienced venue leadership team. Genuine opportunities for career progression Staff discounts and benefits across participating venues. A collaborative team environment with opportunities to develop your hospitality career. Flexible casual opportunities, alongside pathways into supervisory and management roles. The Next Chapter Starts Here The Prince of Wales is being reimagined for a new generation while staying true to the character, culture and spirit that have made it a St Kilda institution.
