About the Role As a Polysomnographic Technician or Trainee at Quincy Medical Group, you will help perform comprehensive sleep studies used to identify and evaluate sleep disorders. This opportunity is open to experienced sleep technicians as well as individuals developing their skills in polysomnography through hands-on training. Working under the general supervision of a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), clinical director, or designee, you will prepare patients for testing, operate specialized equipment, monitor sleep studies, and provide a safe and comfortable patient experience. Collect and monitor sleep study data, recognizing changes in study quality and making appropriate adjustments within demonstrated competency. Monitor patient condition throughout testing and implement appropriate interventions, including CPAP, BiPAP, and oxygen administration, according to established protocols and level of training. Recognize and score sleep stages and clinical events, including respiratory and cardiac events, limb movements, and arousals. Strong attention to detail, communication, and patient care skills. Ability to learn specialized equipment, testing protocols, and clinical procedures. Ability to work independently as competencies are achieved while recognizing when assistance or escalation is needed.
