Brite Nites is running the outdoor ice rink at Utah City in Vineyard this winter, with public skating and ice bumper cars. We are hiring attendants to keep the rink safe, running on time, and fun for families. Same ice, same crew: attendants run both skating sessions and bumper-car sessions (they never run at the same time).
Pay: $15-17 an hour, depending on experience. Bi-weekly pay.
Where: Utah City, Vineyard, UT
Season: Saturday, November 28, 2026 through early February 2027 (exact date TBD)
Type: W-2, part-time seasonal, hourly.
What you will do
- Monitor public skating and keep guest flow safe
- Run ice bumper-car sessions: load and unload guests, give the safety briefing, reset the cars between sessions
- Work the skate shack: rentals, returns, sizing
- Help guests with skate aids and walkers
- Handle line control and guest questions
- Check tickets and bumper-car waivers at the entrance and the gate
- Reset the ice between skate sessions
- Help put the bumper cars on the ice and take them off between sessions
- Keep the rink and skate shack clean and organized
- Help with basic nightly ice maintenance, once trained
- Follow safety, waiver, and emergency procedures
Schedule
Mostly evenings and weekends. Weekend and holiday availability matters most.
- Monday and Wednesday: 5:30 to 9:45 pm
- Tuesday and Thursday (Bump & Skate): 5:30 to 10 pm
- Friday: 5:30 to 10 pm
- Saturday: 11 am to 10 pm, split into shifts
- Sunday: private rentals, 12 to 8 pm, by reservation
- Holiday break, December 21 to January 2: open Monday through Saturday, 11 am to 10:45 pm
- Christmas Eve: 11 am to 4 pm. Christmas Day: closed.
- New Year's Eve: 11 am to midnight. New Year's Day: 12 to 5 pm.
- Training: two days, the week of November 23, before opening
What you need
- 18 or older
- Available evenings, weekends, and holidays through the end of the season
- Comfortable working outside in winter weather for a full shift
- Able to stand for a full shift and lift and move rink equipment
- Reliable transportation to Vineyard
Helpful, not required
Recreation, skating, hospitality, event, or customer-service experience. No experience needed; we train you.
Brite Nites may require a drug test.
