Senior Vice President, Life Sciences Strategy Consulting.

LEADERSHIP$280K–300K/YR

About Us

At BGBx, we're driven by a simple idea: breakthrough thinking creates breakthrough impact. As an independent commercial solutions partner to pharmaceutical and life science companies, we bring together strategists, scientists, communicators, creatives, technologists, and data experts to tackle some of healthcare's most important challenges.

Our teams work across consulting and communications to help clients shape strategy, launch innovations, engage stakeholders, and drive meaningful results throughout the product lifecycle. The work is complex, fast-moving, and deeply connected to improving lives, creating opportunities for curious minds to make a real difference every day.

If you're energized by collaboration, inspired by innovation, and motivated by work that matters, you'll find a place to grow, contribute, and make a  meaningful impact at BGBx.

Position Overview

As a Senior Vice President, you will play a leading role in shaping and growing IxI’s strategic consulting business while serving as a trusted advisor to senior clients across the life sciences industry.

You will lead complex engagements across market opportunity assessment, commercialization, go-to-market strategy, competitive strategy, and customer strategy, while bringing together IxI’s capabilities across strategy, behavioral science, data, AI, and technology to develop differentiated solutions.

You will also help grow senior client relationships, develop new business opportunities, shape new consulting capabilities and offerings, and develop IxI talent.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Strategic Client Work – Advise senior clients on complex commercial challenges and shape the strategic direction of high-impact engagements.
  • Grow the Business – Build and expand senior client relationships, identify emerging needs, and translate them into new opportunities for IxI.
  • Connect Strategy & Technology – Identify where AI, data, analytics, and technology can strengthen the strategic solution and bring the right expertise into the work.
  • Build the Practice – Develop new capabilities, offerings, and intellectual capital that strengthen IxI’s value proposition in the market.
  • Lead Across Disciplines – Bring together consultants, behavioral scientists, creatives, technologists, and data specialists to solve client problems in differentiated ways.
  • Develop Talent – Mentor and develop team members while modeling strong strategic thinking, client leadership, and business development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, psychology, or a related field; advanced degree a plus
  • 12+ years of life sciences consulting experience, with progressive responsibility for client relationships, strategic engagements, teams, and business development
  • Experience advising pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, or medtech organizations on complex commercial and strategic business challenges
  • Experience across areas such as market opportunity assessment, commercialization, go-to-market and launch strategy, competitive strategy, portfolio strategy, or customer strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to build senior client relationships and identify, shape, and develop new business opportunities
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking with the ability to turn complex information into clear, compelling recommendations
  • Fluency in how AI, data, analytics, digital, and technology can enhance strategic consulting solutions; deep technical expertise is not required
  • Strong executive communication, storytelling, and team leadership skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort operating in an evolving, collaborative environment

Why Join Us?

  • Small team energy, big company support
  • High-impact work, early responsibility – You’ll contribute from day one on projects that matter
  • A learning-first culture – Mentorship, peer support, and space to grow
  • A genuinely fun, curious environment – We take the work seriously, not ourselves
  • Creative meets strategic – This is a space where brand thinking, behavioral science, and big data collide
  • A future-facing mission – Everything we do aims to improve the lives of people living with disease

If you're ready to bring curiosity, strategy, and creativity together to reimagine healthcare and make a real difference to people’s lives, let’s talk.

Salary range: $280,000 - $300,000 base plus bonus eligible

BGBx is headquartered in New York City, and the salary range listed reflects the expected base compensation for this role in the New York metropolitan area. This position may be performed remotely within the United States. For candidates located outside the New York City area, compensation will be adjusted to reflect the applicable market for the employee’s primary work location.
