Job Description Summary Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line in Winding Shop. Includes Service Shops. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Manage an operation, business, unit, or part of a production facility in order to reach defined targets in quality, cost, delivery and safety. Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards. Team management of salaried employees. This does not include production supervisors who oversee hourly employees. Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area. Has knowledge of best practices in Winding Shop of Power Transformer; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market. Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters. Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree / Diploma from an accredited university or college • Minimum 5 years of experience in Winding Shop in transformer manufacturing industry. • Strong domain knowledge of high voltage (400 KV & above) transformer manufacturing process. Added advantage - If worked on insulation shop. Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
