About this opportunity

The CEO, Fiduciary Services will serve as the global executive leader responsible for the strategic direction, commercial growth, operational leadership and overall financial performance of the Fiduciary Services business across Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Hong Kong and Singapore.

This role will lead and oversee all fiduciary operations globally, ensuring the business continues to strengthen its market position, enhance profitability, deliver exceptional client service and respond proactively to developments in our international regulatory environment. The successful candidate will be expected to drive both strategic and operational initiatives, including business transformation, technology-enabled efficiencies, jurisdictional growth opportunities and ensure collaboration with legal, compliance and risk teams.

The CEO, Fiduciary Services, will report directly to the Board and work closely with jurisdictional Partners and Directors through a matrix reporting structure to shape and execute the long-term strategic vision for the business. The role will oversee and lead a team of Heads of Client Services across Corporate, Trust, and Accounting Management Services, with responsibility for maintaining strong governance and operational standards while driving an efficient, high-performing, and collaborative culture across all jurisdictions.

They will also consider alternative jurisdictions for the location of this role, including the Cayman Islands.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and execute the global strategy for the fiduciary business, ensuring alignment with the firm's broader strategic objectives and growth plans across each of its jurisdictions
  • Drive revenue growth through strategic client development, market expansion, service diversification and cross-selling across fiduciary, governance, trust, regulatory and corporate administration services
  • Identify opportunities for growth in new and existing markets, including expansion of service offerings, operational capabilities and jurisdictional presence
  • Lead the operational and financial performance of the business across Bermuda, BVI, Cayman Islands, Hong Kong and Singapore
  • Lead strategic transformation initiatives spanning operational improvement, technology modernization, automation and scalable service delivery
  • Collaborate with legal practice groups and jurisdictional leadership to strengthen integrated service offerings and enhance client experience
  • Working closely with Global Compliance teams, lead operational risk management, governance standards and regulatory compliance across all fiduciary operations
  • Monitor legislative, regulatory and market developments impacting the business globally
  • Lead recruitment, succession planning, leadership development and talent retention across the Fiduciary Services business
  • Foster a client-centric, commercially driven and collaborative culture focused on service excellence and accountability
  • Oversee financial management of the business alongside the firm’s finance department, including budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis and performance reporting
  • Present regularly to the Board on business performance, strategic initiatives, risk, market opportunities and operational developments

What you’ll need

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, law, finance, or a related field is required; an MBA, LLM, or relevant postgraduate qualification is strongly preferred. Professional accreditation such as ICSA/CGI, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent will be viewed favourably and may substitute for a postgraduate degree where accompanied by significant relevant experience
  • Extensive senior leadership experience (typically 12+ years) within fiduciary services, corporate services, trust administration, governance, regulatory services or professional services
  • Track record of leading complex, multi-jurisdictional businesses in highly regulated international financial services environments
  • Demonstrated success driving commercial growth and leading transformation initiatives spanning operations, process improvement and technology
  • Experience with operational technology systems used in fiduciary, trust or corporate services environments (e.g. entity management, trust accounting, workflow and client onboarding platforms)
  • Strong understanding of offshore financial services markets, fiduciary structures, trust administration and the regulatory and governance frameworks that shape the industry
  • Commercial and financial acumen, including budgeting, profitability management and business planning
  • Proven ability to lead geographically dispersed teams across multiple jurisdictions and time zones, including developing and retaining diverse talent
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with credibility across Boards, Partners, Directors, regulators and senior managers
  • Strong client development and relationship management capabilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Regular international travel required
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple jurisdictions, cultures and time zones
  • Commitment to fostering a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing global culture
