Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and hardworking Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the hotel’s guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and building systems to ensure a safe, comfortable, and pleasant experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
- Inspect and repair guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas.
- Troubleshoot basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, and carpentry issues.
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and work orders.
- Maintain hotel equipment, tools, and maintenance supplies.
- Identify and report safety hazards, building defects, and equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with painting, patching, furniture repairs, and other general maintenance tasks.
- Follow hotel safety procedures, emergency protocols, and applicable building codes.
- Keep maintenance areas clean, organized, and secure.
- Work collaboratively with housekeeping, front desk, and other hotel departments.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance experience preferred; hotel or hospitality experience is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general repairs.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform maintenance tasks as required.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, or different shifts as needed.
