Be the welcoming face of our hotel. Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown is seeking a friendly, dependable Front Desk Agent to deliver exceptional service from arrival through departure. The ideal candidate is organized, communicates clearly, and handles a busy front desk with professionalism and care.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome guests and complete check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Verify reservations, assign rooms, issue keys, and explain hotel amenities and services.
- Process payments, verify billing information, and maintain accurate guest accounts.
- Answer calls, assist with reservation inquiries, and communicate guest requests to the appropriate departments.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping and Engineering regarding room readiness and maintenance needs.
- Respond to guest questions and concerns, resolve issues within your authority, and involve management when needed.
- Provide information about local attractions, dining, transportation, and hotel offerings.
- Follow hotel procedures for guest privacy, identification, key security, and payment handling.
- Maintain accurate shift records and communicate outstanding items during shift changes.
- Keep the front desk and lobby-facing work areas professional and organized.
- Follow emergency procedures and promptly report safety or security concerns.
What You’ll Bring
- Previous hotel front desk experience preferred.
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort using computers; experience with hotel property management systems preferred.
- Attention to detail when handling reservations, payments, and guest information.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while remaining courteous and composed.
- Dependability and a positive, team-oriented approach.
- Flexibility to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to perform essential duties, including prolonged standing, with or without reasonable accommodation.
