Job Overview
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Maintenance Department, with experience in cost estimation, quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, and cost control for firefighting and fire alarm maintenance works.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ), quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and pricing schedules for maintenance works.
Review work orders, scope of work, drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure accurate quantity measurements.
Prepare cost estimates and monitor project budgets to ensure cost efficiency.
Maintain records of quantities, material rates, labour costs, and other project-related expenses.
Identify additional works, prepare variation orders, and assist with claims and extension-of-time documentation.
Coordinate with the Maintenance, Project, Procurement, and Finance teams regarding material requirements and cost-related matters.
Prepare cost reports and maintain accurate documentation for ongoing and completed maintenance works.
Ensure all estimates and BOQs comply with project specifications and applicable technical requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably in firefighting, fire alarm, or fire protection systems.
Experience in BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, cost estimation, and cost control.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and AutoCAD.
Knowledge of NFPA standards and UAE Civil Defence (DCD) requirements is an advantage.
Good analytical, communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
