As an Accounts Officer at BSM, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial operations and compliance with accounting standards, supporting timely processing, reporting, and reconciliation of accounts. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial integrity and enabling informed decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Process accounting transactions, including invoices and expenses, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting principles and legislation.
Execute timely settlement of accounts and payments to support smooth business operations.
Prepare and issue client invoices in line with contractual agreements and monitor payment schedules, addressing discrepancies promptly.
Perform reconciliations of accounting transactions and maintain accurate records and ledgers.
Update management accounting systems to provide reliable financial data for performance evaluation and cost control.
Assist in internal and external audits by gathering and providing required documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
University degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
2–3 years of relevant experience, ideally within ship management or a similar industry.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of financial and accounting reporting systems.
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports, statements, and projections.
Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Understanding of local/regional maritime market conditions.
Fluency in English.
