The Team

We are a group of vibrant, diverse people who love travelling and never settle on quality. Each one of us didn’t join Welcome by chance and believes deeply in what Welcome is trying to achieve, so we work relentlessly to make that happen. We challenge common logic, focus on design, put simplicity and usability first, and create memorable experiences. We keep learning and exploring better ways to serve our community and grow personally and professionally in our respective fields. We stay humble along the way, with a “pay it forward” mentality, but with big and bold goals.

We are looking for a Destination Efficiency & Supply Manager at Welcome Pickups to lead the team and operating process that balance demand with service capacity across the destination network.

The role ensures availability settings, booking cut-offs and demand controls reflect actual supply conditions, protecting reliable fulfilment while reducing unnecessary restrictions on bookings. It combines team leadership, supply-chain judgement and analysis of forward-looking and live operational signals. Working within Driver Supply, the manager connects planning with timely control decisions, clear escalation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Demand Control and Configuration Ownership

  • Own the operating process for booking cut-offs, capacity limits, blocking and exceptions, within agreed decision rights and commercial guardrails.
  • Detect and correct unnecessary blocking, configuration errors and insufficient protection against capacity risks; record the reasoning for material changes and verify their effect.

Capacity Decisions and Service Reliability

  • Translate demand forecasts, capacity assessments, assignment patterns and live signals into timely demand control decisions by destination, date, time and vehicle category.
  • Distinguish genuine supply shortages from forecast, data or configuration problems. Coordinate action with supply owners and escalate emerging service risks to Live Ops.

Team Leadership and Decision Standards

  • Lead and develop the Destination Efficiency team, coach analytical judgement and organise workload and coverage around operational risk and seasonal demand.
  • Establish decision standards, quality checks, review routines and escalation thresholds so that the team makes consistent, traceable decisions and learns from exceptions.

Cross-functional Planning and Recovery

  • Work with Supply Planning, Recruitment, Service Partner Management and Destination Operations on peak readiness and market recovery, with named owners for capacity gaps.
  • Coordinate with Pricing on competitiveness and commercial constraints, and with Live Ops on operational risks and handoffs, keeping demand-control and pricing decisions within their respective mandates.

Performance Improvement and Automation

  • Measure how control decisions affect successful fulfillment, avoidable availability loss and intervention costs. Use regular reviews to improve decisions and reduce recurring errors.
  • Evaluate forecasting and automation outputs in practice; provide evidence and requirements to Data, Ops Excellence, Internal Systems and Product, and validate improvements before wider use.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in supply-chain management, control tower operations demand and supply planning, marketplace operations or a similarly dynamic operating environment.
  • Proven experience leading an operational team, developing capability and setting clear decision, quality and performance standards.
  • Sound judgement in balancing service reliability, capacity constraints and commercial outcomes, including making timely decisions with incomplete information.
  • Strong analytical skills using spreadsheets, operational dashboards and BI tools; able to interrogate assumptions, diagnose causes and verify whether an intervention worked. SQL experience is an advantage.
  • Practical experience improving operational controls, planning-to-execution processes or automated workflows, with evidence of measurable results.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional influence, including clear escalation of operational risk and effective collaboration with commercial and technical teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal English. Relevant study in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Analytics or Business, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in mobility, travel, logistics or another network with variable demand and constrained capacity is an advantage, as is practical use of AI and automation in operational decision support.

Benefits

  • Vibrant and fresh work environment
  • Flexible work-from-home policy
  • The tools you need to perform your daily tasks successfully
  • L&D personal budget
  • Private Insurance Plan
  • +4 extra PTO days annually
  • The unique opportunity to join “the next big thing” at ground level
