Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve analysing complex financial statements, assessing credit proposals from marketing teams, and monitoring market conditions that may impact client portfolios. Success in this role requires attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to supporting your colleagues through collaborative efforts. Conduct thorough financial analysis including financial spreading, credit review, rating assessments, and periodic covenant checks for assigned Japanese corporate clients. Evaluate credit proposals and rating applications submitted by the marketing department, ensuring all relevant information is considered. Monitor economic and business environments proactively to identify potential credit issues affecting assigned accounts. Collaborate closely with colleagues across departments to ensure accurate and timely completion of credit reviews. Maintain up-to-date records of client financials and credit ratings, adhering strictly to regulatory requirements and internal policies. Support the team in preparing detailed reports on creditworthiness and risk factors for management review. Participate in regular training sessions to enhance your understanding of industry best practices and regulatory changes. Engage with clients as needed to clarify financial information or resolve queries related to credit assessments. Work together with other analysts to ensure consistency in credit evaluation processes across the portfolio. What you bring: The ideal candidate for the Credit Analyst role brings proven academic credentials alongside practical experience in corporate credit analysis or accounting. Your ability to manage time efficiently, show initiative, and collaborate within a team-oriented setting will be crucial for success. Degree in Business, Accountancy or Economics is required for this position, ensuring you have a solid foundation in financial principles. At least one year of corporate credit experience within the banking industry is preferred; however, candidates with strong accounting backgrounds but no prior experience are also encouraged to apply. Excellent time management skills enable you to handle multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines consistently. Strong initiative skills demonstrate your willingness to take responsibility for tasks and contribute ideas that improve processes. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment ensures harmonious collaboration with colleagues across departments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications allows you to prepare detailed reports and analyses with ease. A keen awareness of economic trends helps you anticipate potential risks affecting client portfolios. Good communication skills facilitate clear interactions with both internal stakeholders and external clients when discussing credit matters.
