Job Description: Position Summary: Under the direction of the Procurement leadership team, the Commodity Analyst – Electronics is responsible for supporting sourcing, procurement, cost analysis, and supplier management activities for assigned commodities and materials supporting manufacturing operations. This role partners with internal stakeholders across Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance to support supplier selection, competitive sourcing, cost optimization, supplier performance, and continuity of supply. The Commodity Analyst leverages data analysis, market intelligence, supplier collaboration, and commercial negotiations to support business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives. Experience sourcing or purchasing electronic components, electrical materials, or related commodities is preferred but not required. Duties and responsibilities: Manage sourcing and procurement activities for assigned commodities, materials, and components supporting manufacturing operations. Analyze commodity spend, supplier performance, purchasing trends, and cost drivers to identify cost reduction and sourcing opportunities. Prepare and execute RFQ/RFP activities, including supplier communication, quotation analysis, commercial comparisons, and sourcing recommendations. Support supplier identification, evaluation, selection, qualification, and development based on cost, quality, delivery, capacity, and business requirements. Perform cost breakdown analysis, supplier benchmarking, and year-over-year purchasing comparisons to support negotiations and sourcing strategies. Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, lead times, and other purchasing conditions with suppliers. Track and report procurement savings, PPV (Purchase Price Variance), and category performance against established objectives. Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and scorecards and support improvement actions when required. Research market conditions, industry trends, supplier capabilities, and commodity cost drivers to support sourcing decisions. Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations to understand material requirements and support continuity of supply. Support supplier-related issue resolution involving pricing, capacity, delivery, commercial terms, or supply risks. Maintain accurate supplier, purchasing, sourcing, and commodity data within ERP and procurement systems. Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations using Excel, Power BI, and other analytical tools to provide visibility to stakeholders and leadership. Support sourcing strategies and supplier relationships that improve cost competitiveness, quality, delivery, and overall supply performance. Leverage automation and analytical tools to improve procurement processes, reporting, and team efficiency. Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Commerce, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or a related field. Experience Requirements: 1-3 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Commodity Management, Supplier Development, Purchasing, or related functions. Experience purchasing or sourcing electronic components, electrical materials, electromechanical components, or related commodities preferred, but not required. Manufacturing industry experience preferred. Experience supporting US based teams preferred. Technical Knowledge: Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal). Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, data analysis, dashboards, and advanced formulas. Experience using Power BI for reporting and spend visibility. Working knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or equivalent. Understanding of RFQ/RFP processes, supplier management, spend analysis, savings tracking, and procurement fundamentals.
