Job Overview: This position involves performing various physical tasks to support construction and maintenance projects, primarily in a non-driving capacity. Laborers will assist skilled tradespeople and ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Job Responsibilities:** * Perform general labor duties, including digging, trenching, lifting, carrying, and moving materials manually or using basic hand tools. * Assist with the setup and teardown of construction sites, including placing and removing barricades, cones, and safety signage. * Load and unload materials and equipment from trucks, ensuring proper handling and storage. * Clean and prepare work areas, including debris removal, sweeping, and maintaining a tidy site. * Operate small hand tools and equipment as directed, such as shovels, rakes, picks, and wheelbarrows. * Follow all safety protocols, company policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for self and co-workers. * Spot for equipment operators, providing clear and concise hand signals and verbal communication. * Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or project managers. Job Qualifications:** * Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods. * Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety. * Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively. * Basic understanding of construction site safety practices is preferred. * Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly. * Reliable transportation to and from the job site. * Prior experience in a construction or industrial setting is a plus.
