The Operations Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of logistics operations through meticulous administrative and clerical support. Managing essential office tasks, coordinating logistics activities, and providing comprehensive support to the team. This role demonstrates dependability in handling tasks, a caring attitude towards team collaboration, a proactive approach to improving processes, and a forward-thinking mindset to anticipate and solve challenges, all contributing to the operational success of the company. Key Responsibilities Import Operations Monitor and manage incoming sea freight shipments. Coordinate with overseas offices, agents, carriers, customs brokers, and customers. Review shipping documents such as Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, and Arrival Notice. Arrange cargo release and ensure timely delivery to customers. Track shipments and provide status updates to customers and stakeholders. Handle exceptions, delays, and customer inquiries. Export Operations Process export bookings and coordinate shipment schedules with carriers. Prepare and validate export documentation and shipping instructions. Coordinate cargo pick-up, stuffing, and loading arrangements. Ensure compliance with destination country and carrier requirements. Monitor vessel departures and provide shipment updates. Support billing and operational reporting activities. General Operational Duties Maintain accurate shipment records in the transport management system. Ensure compliance with company policies, customs regulations, and trade requirements. Collaborate with internal teams, overseas offices, and external service providers. Resolve operational issues and support continuous process improvement initiatives. Meet service level agreements (SLAs), productivity, and quality targets.
