About the role This position will oversee and direct all operational aspects of Inbound and Outbound activities ensuring customer orders are processed and shipped in an efficient, accurate and timely manner. Managing operational expenses within forecasted budgets to drive positive EBIDTA results is a key component of this position. Will also develop operational action plans based on forecast and changes likely to impact business or functions of the fulfillment center. This position will be expected to develop, grow, and identify talent and bench strength amongst their team. Regular touch-bases with direct reports will be required to ensure communications, directions, and operational changes are understood amongst their team. Professionalism is a must. Manage daily operations and work volume throughout all departments. Make decisions and implement changes to improve throughput, while following policies and procedures already in place, to ensure standardization of changes. Ensure coordination in the movement of associates for proper staffing in all areas according to daily workload projections. Determine staffing needs and make recommendations regarding the scheduling of hours to ensure Service Level Agreements are achieved. Maintain in-depth knowledge of e-commerce systems including Manhattan WMS and Dematic sortation equipment. Provide analytical information coupled with feedback and solutions that will enable the fulfillment center to operate more efficiently and effectively, either by procedures/process improvements or by cost savings. You’ll bring to the role 5+ years’ experience in a high-energy, fast-paced, SLA driven environment; e-commerce experience required.
