Job Description Summary: AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking an experienced and compassionate Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to join our growing pulmonary and critical care team in Zephyrhills, Florida. This provider will work collaboratively with pulmonologists and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care for patients with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Job Description: Position Highlights Full-time employed position Collaborative pulmonary medicine practice Mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient rounding responsibilities Competitive compensation package Comprehensive benefits package CME allowance and paid professional dues Malpractice coverage provided Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with pulmonary disorders, including: COPD Asthma Sleep apnea Interstitial lung disease Pulmonary hypertension Chronic respiratory failure Lung nodules and pulmonary infections Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop treatment plans. Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing, including: Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) Imaging studies Laboratory results Sleep studies Perform hospital rounds and participate in inpatient consults as assigned. Provide follow-up care and disease management education. Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, nurses, and care management teams. Document patient encounters accurately within the electronic medical record. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to organizational standards of care. Qualifications Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Current Florida APRN license or eligibility for licensure. National certification as: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Adult- BLS and ACLS certification. Minimum of 2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience. Prior pulmonology, sleep medicine, critical care, hospital medicine, or internal medicine experience preferred. Preferred Experience managing chronic pulmonary diseases. Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
