Marketing Intern (Student Ambassador) – Empowerly
Location: Hybrid (multiple)
Rate: $20 per hour
About the Role
We’re looking for high-performing current high school students to join us as Marketing & Business Development Interns (Student Ambassadors).
This is a unique opportunity to gain experience across all aspects of Marketing at a fast-growing company. Interns will support the development of our social media strategy; the execution of field marketing events; and the infrastructure to communicate with our vast alumni network.
You’ll play a key role in driving brand awareness, increasing referrals, and engaging local community.
What You’ll Do
In-Person (30%)
- Attend local private dinners hosted by Empowerly, representing the company to prospective students and families.
- Share your personal Empowerly story in an authentic, compelling way at local events.
- Periodically travel to in-person meetings to create content with our social media team.
Remote (70%)
- Develop unique and effective outreach campaigns with the Events team to share your Empowerly story with your personal networks.
- Create engaging social media content (TikTok, Instagram, etc.) that reflects your experience with the Social Media Content team.
- Pitch and execute ideas for webinars, events, and social media campaigns by and for Empowerly students.
- Advise the Events and Lifecycle Marketing Teams around local context, event creation, and lead engagement in your area.
- Help manage lead capture processes and data entry into CRM systems.
- Share feedback and insights on what students and families care about.
Who Should Apply
Required:
- Currently residing in, or willing to travel to, the Bay Area, Boston, New York City, or Princeton.
- Experience in community building and organizing events around specific causes, communities, or goals.
- Experience creating social media content that keeps on top of current trends on Instagram and TikTok.
- Comfortable sharing your Empowerly experience in personal and professional networks and settings.
Preferred:
- Experience with HubSpot, Airtable, or WordPress.
- Video editing experience.
- Local geographical knowledge of the Bay Area, New York City, Boston, or LA.
