About the role
You'll help consumer businesses understand what brings customers in, what keeps them coming back, and where to act next. You'll own analyses from the initial business question through data preparation, validation, and recommendations to senior stakeholders. This role combines strong analytical judgment with clear communication and practical use of AI throughout the work.
What you'll do
- Turn ambiguous business questions into focused analyses, deciding what to measure and what evidence would support a decision.
- Analyze customer acquisition, retention, churn, segmentation, pricing, and campaign performance.
- Build and maintain data pipelines and recurring reports for executive and field teams, using reusable methods that adapt to different audiences.
- Apply sound statistical and causal methods, check your findings, and explain the limits of what the data supports.
- Present clear recommendations that connect the analysis to business priorities and the next action.
- Use large language models and AI agents to accelerate the work while keeping the analysis reproducible, documented, and checked.
What you bring
- 5+ years of experience in customer or marketing analytics.
- Strong SQL and Python skills, with experience working on modern data platforms and large transactional datasets.
- Practical knowledge of causal inference, cohort analysis, and customer segmentation.
- Business judgment: you can recognize when an analysis answers the wrong question, even if the calculations are correct.
- Curiosity about how a client's business works and the habit of checking whether results make sense in that context.
- Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders, explaining uncertainty, and constructively challenging assumptions with evidence.
- Working experience with AI tools and an understanding of their strengths and limitations.
- A disciplined approach to documentation and reproducibility, with the ability to deliver when requirements are still taking shape.
Nice to have
- Experience with consumer, retail, or loyalty analytics.
- Hands-on use of Claude Code or similar agent tools for analysis, automation, or prototyping.
- Experience building repeatable workflows that combine human judgment with AI-assisted analysis.
