A talent acquisition caregiver will provide more details into the sign on bonus during the interview process I.PURPOSE & PRIMARY FUNCTIONS The Surgical Tech handles the instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. He/she has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care a during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. Duties as follows: Checks Supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedure, such as scrubs, gowns and gloves. Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment and medications/solutions needed for surgery. Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation ad n before incision is closed. II.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Licensure/Certification/ Registration: BLS Certification Surgical Technologist certification required Education: Graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist program Other Qualifications: Well organized and possess high degree of manual dexterity 3 years experience in a hospital-based surgical service preferred Excellent interpersonal, organizational, customer service and communication skills required OR equivalent combination of the above All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
